Thanks for all the feedback. It turned out to be my misunderstanding.
Having already paid my monthly fees up to my company year end, 30 April, I've been informed there are no further fees to process the final accounts.
After which I'll keep my company dormant for a while.

I just informed SJD Accountancy that I'm looking to leave SJD and make my limited company dormant as I only worked a couple of contracts in 2011. The last job I did was in September.
I'm quite shocked at SJD's response that I'm required to pay a whole year's fees to prepare the final accounts documents:
My company year end is 30 April and I pay a monthly fee of £126.
SJD claim to have no entry or exit fees but this seems like a very hefty exit fee. I'd appreciate anybody's opinions...

If the company traded part way through the yearend then full 12 months fees will apply for SJD.
