Question for Exports: How to get my icon in the IE address bar

Morning all,

been trying to get my Icon in the Internet Explorer address bar, but can't get it to work

Have put the following code on the main page of the benes homepage website...


link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://www.theBenesHomePage.com/favicon.ico" TYPE="image/ico"

link rel="icon" href="http://www.theBenesHomePage.com/favicon.ico" TYPE="image/ico"

and put the icon file in the root directory of the benes webserver

but still cannot get the icon to show in the Internet Explorer address bar

anybody any ideas ?

In IE you have to add the site to your browser favourites before it will display the favicon.

In Firefox and others the browser will always display the favicon.
