    Tube strike

BBC News - London Underground workers to strike for 72 hours
    one day at a time

Once for a change, I am glad that I moved from a contract that made me travel on the tube. Driving seems so more comfortable even on M25.

Think I'm going to use the Thames Clipper this time.

I don't travel by tube when in London (every week) I always get Taxi's. Problem is so will everyone else next week so looks like I'll work from home instead.

A friend from Sarf Laandan does this, cycles to the stop, then gets the clipper. Can you do it from Kingston Upon Thames as well?

Oh the joy of working from home when the need arises, or even if it doesn't
Never has a man been heard to say on his death bed that he wishes he'd spent more time in the office.

                Oh bugger!
I don't have to get the Tube at the moment but it'll mean an unseemly scrum for the bus. Must sort out WFH.

Saw a bit about this on the news last night. Sounds like the disruption is going to minimal. No drivers or station staff are going on strike, it's the maintenance staff so if something goes wrong it'll take a bit longer to get fixed but apart from that it should be normal service, ie tulip.

Shame, I was looking forward to getting the boat
