Hi all,
this might be interesting for a few of you.
1) Does a UK/Irish partnership (members resident in UK) need an AUG licence to send one of its partners to Germany?
2) Can the partnership bill the client directly and be made liable to UK tax (partners being UK resident) under the relevant DTT and not pay income tax in Germany at all if the worker spends less than 183 days per year?
3) Can this happen in Italy also, i.e. not pay any tax in Italy if less than 183 days/year under relevant DTT?
4) As revenues are form abroad w.r.t. UK, if a partner is resident non dom, is he able to still take advantage of the DTT (i.e. be subject to UK tax, but then pay only on funds remitted to UK by claiming remittance basis)?
5) If the services are VAT exempt (medical) can it do without a UK VAT number for billing to Germany and Italy
Put that in your pipe and smoke it!
BTW for you British domiciled who are willing to spend less than 90 days per year in Blighty, by working in two different countries the rest of the time less than 183 days a year in any country and residing in the sunny Irish Republic, you can be a resident non dom over there on the Emerald Isle.
