"Barclays has set aside an extra £300m for settling claims of mis-selling payment protection insurance, but says it made an "encouraging" start to 2012."

Bonuses to execs are unaffected :laugh

And now a subliminal message from the Chief Exec to the actual owners of the bank -

It's boring enough with one thread on the subject.

I think AtW has other issues here that are secondary to the plight of barclays shareholders

No, I am just the defender of capitalism as Mrs Thatcher wanted it, not socialism when hired managers rob owners blind :laugh

(a few years ago)I thought it was £10 and that's the real reason AtW hates Barclays now.

I don't hate Barclays, but I think their top management is not doing their duty as far as shareholders should be concerned. :eyes

Will they take back the bonus money if the bank makes a loss ? Its only fair that employees share both profit and loss.

Give them their bonus in shares!

LTSB clawed back bonus paid to some directors for PFI tulip that happened under their watch (and they surely got bonus for "profits" generated from it).

BBC News - Lloyds cuts back £2m from bonuses paid to executives (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-17094182)

It's not massive but it's a start.

It's common in sales to claw back bonuses if later things go bad (ie when signed up customer defaulted).
