    New contractor clock

Bought one of those cheapo clock movements off Amazon for a fiver to fix the clock in the kitchen but got it sorted in the meantime with a squirt of WD40.

Just printed out a clock face with 9-5 in Green and the rest in Red. Put my accumulated rate instead of the hour markers.

Now sat watching the revenue tick up.

    Sadly addictive.

Simple things for simple people, eh.

So you live to work rather than work to live?

Quite the opposite. Hence anything past billable time is in red.

It used to be screensavers. I knocked up a screensaver many years ago when I first started that used to tick up the money. When I came back from a rather pressing toilet break it would be nice to know how much that had cost clientco.

So all the permies and other contractors saw your rate? Brave move
