    England Manager

BBC Sport - Roy Hodgson and England: Talks start at Wembley with FA

Good decision. Rednapp's won nowt and no experience. Seem to remember the same hysteria when Keegan was appointed by the press and proved a total bedwetter.

England are a 3rd rate team so unless the dead wood goes - no chance of winning anything regardless of the manager.

Having seen Dawson go from Rochdale to WBA, and be a regular England under 21 scoring several goals, I think Roy will get rid of the deadwood...

I wouldnt be surprised to see several ex-Rochdale players appear in the squad though... Grant Holt, Perkins, Dawson etc. It's because they all left and went on to better things that Rochdale got relegated back to Div 4 this season

MF was not available due to more attractive permie offer in California.

You really are a numpty arent you ? 'Arry has managed to throw away a 8 point lead at third position and now struggling to get ahead of Newcastle. Roy has guided WBA from relegation strugglers to mid table team. The only thing 'Arry can do is indulge in some wheeler dealer business and spend millions on any player he can get.

Why did not FA interview both even if they never wanted to employ Harry - it would have been useful to have at least some kind of competition for one single highly paid place even if it is to get better conditions (less money paid in case of inevitable failure).
