What makes you leave a contract early?

We all have a shelf life at a client and I think I have come to the end of mine after I started to consider going the MF route on someones face yesterday.

So whats your tell tail sign that you need to move on?

Apart from the client locking out of the site that is...

I think this ties in with SimonMac's "Extensions" thread.
As soon as the contract starts getting a bit BAU I start looking. Only had to bail early once though!

I've only done it once, when they were making noises about reducing contractors and I was offered more money elsewhere.
I'm sorry, but I'll make no apologies for this

You've been through all the attractive girls in accounts, twice, it's time to move on.

So far I have never left before the end of a contract, no matter how bad it was.

But I do make a decision if I want to stay if an extension is offered.

First for me is how near winter is it, really don't want to work in Europe in Jan or Feb.

How far into the winter will the extension take me?

If it will not take me to end of November should I look for a new contract?

Last do I like the project enough to stay?
