The dopey twats in France think it's chique to be socialist.

I expect they'll learn the hard way that people get the leaders they deserve. :eyes

Who cares who won? Hollande was anti-austerity, Sarkozy was pro-austerity. They are entirely missing the point. What it needs is a break up of the Euro.

Fooking muppets.

Hopefully there will be another storming of the bastille.

He won by 1.5% due to the fact that the far right either abstained 18% or voted blanc 6%.

Mutti Merkel is still a safe bet.

Listening to his party workers, when asked where they'd get the money from to carry on spending what they haven't got, they said by taxing the rich at 75%.

Why didn't we think of that? That will pay for everything! :laugh

I wonder who will be the 21st century Scarlett Pimpernel rescuing rich frenchies and bringing them over here?

No need - the rich frogs will come here and be more than happy to pay 45% instead :D

He's going to lower the retirement age :winker:

Has the makings of the worst president France has ever had. Got voted on the back of promises he can't keep. Look forward to him finding out he's deep in the poo in a few month's time. The markets punish pretty quickly these days. There'll be a currency crisis the day after he officially announces a budget. Basically all the theoretical money he's going to raise will diappear in punishing interest rates. Oh and the Germans are going to agree to Eurobonds to pay the French to stick their feet up....not...I think.

I think Hollande is going to get duffed up outside the toilets at the EU leaders meeting.

When the FRench are desperate they attack the UK. Suprised he is desperate so quick. But then again maybe not.

He could try the ladies toilet - but I suspect he will get a bigger kicking there from Angela.

A French friend of mine reckons that after a few years of Hollande screwing things up the French will go so far the other way that Front National will get in.

I was surprised to hear that something like 7% of Greeks voted neo-Nazi :eek

It's worse....

.....what will happen is a lot will vote for the National Front in the first round, so that Hollande will face off Marie Le Pen. Then everyone will hold their noses and vote for Hollande.

.......c'est la vie.

That's how Chirac got his second term....
