    Servers

    I have a big PC which I use as a server,gateway etc and I have a laptop.

As I live in a small flat, I can use it for central heating in the winter.:-) (And this summer as well, considering the weather is so sh1te)

You may need an extra piece of kit if you have serious hardware at home

          Freon gas I think.

I have a couple of Sun Ultra 30s and some generic PCs chucked in the cupboard under the stairs. They get quite hot but don't ever die. They also keep the landing carpet nice and warm.

I open the door on a really hot day.

I use an FTV punkawhalla, who flaps a large sheet with string tied to his big toe.

              Monkeeeeeeee,

the cupboard under the stairs is my situation, my fear being it will get too hot there, but from your feedback a few pc's should not be a problem.

              Owl,

it has been so long, I've forgotten what FTV stands for !!

I have some mid-ranged Proline thing that cools the room for 3 servers, 1 PC and a laptop.

Does OK but watch your electrickery bill...
