    Proposal for more government control of the Internet

    Raised by the Indian govt. Hope this isn't taken seriously
    The Hindu : News / National : India's proposal for government control of Internet to be discussed in Geneva

    I think they're a bit scared. The anti corruption protests there last year had the makings of an Arab spring.

    It's simple, we all stop using the internet in protest. both socially and in work/business.

    Lets bring the world to a standstill

    No internet banking or bill payment. no emails, no online purchases.

    Everything by post or telephone

    How long do you think governments would hold out?

    I say, let's do it worldwide anyway, only for 3 days, just for a laugh
