How many tree species can you identify?

It occurred to me the other day that I can't identify most tree species. How about you? Flowers, ditto.

And birds, many of which look the same too me, compounded by the fact that males and females can look different, as can siblings whose size changes progressively from chick to adult.

Not sure if it's worth the effort.

You can test yourself here: BRITISH TREES - A CHART OF TREES, LEAVES AND FRUIT

I didn't even know there was a tree called "Box".

I can spot an oak tree, and a sycamore...hmm and an apple tree if it has apples on it, oh and a Christmas tree, if it has lights on it.
        I'm alright Jack

Not bad. 12 out of 52, a quarter.

Another one I'd not heard of.

I had no idea walnuts grew in Britain, they seemed exotic. Can't say I've ever noticed them in the wild either.
