Marks N Sparks 16% drop in profits

Ok, so our "premier" high street store has seen a drop in profits.
Why is it that this Premium store, with it's brand new cheap 'Simple' range is losing identity and customers?

    Answers on a postcard to:

    Totally overpaid marketing department.
    Somewhere in London, probably.

I'm guessing you got that info from the BBC. The posting on reuters is nowhere near as bleak.

I read at as 'M&S still made £658m in very challenging market conditions', well done.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

I know someone working as a management consultant to M&S, probably blame them instead

M&S used to sell British made clothing and because of that they had a loyal customer following. The wiz kids had a idea; instead of making £2 profit on a £15shirt M&S can £12 profit if they bought from China. And so they did, the share holders were pleased but the shirt works lost their jobs.

Eventually so much manufacturing was offshored and so many workers were out of work; there were not enough customers to buy the goods that M&S sells. The share holders are not happy and instead invest their money in China. China then lends money to the UK to pay for the unemployed workers.

            F**k M&S, its a self fulfilling prophecy

              Twaddle.

They are selling clothes that I no longer want to buy - they don't fit properly for a start.
