    Beyond Water Towers

Just outside Bath, between the villages of Midford and Wellow, lies the hamlet of Twinhoe.

Now, in this hamlet is a strange feature; one that I'd taken for granted until my recent immersion in water tower related trivia.

An overhead water pipe crosses the lane on an iron gentry between 2 houses. I've never seen thus anywhere before and have no idea why the pipe should take the overhead route as opposed to underground as would normally be the case.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

That would probably explain the residents of Bridgewater

I looked on Googlemaps and there's nothing there. Maybe it's a temporary erection.

Unless it's behind these blurred images :

                  https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Twinh...,20.11,,0,8.21

                  (go to street view)

which in any case needs further investigation, just in case it's a rip in the fabric of the space-time continuum, which could also explain why water pipes are floating in the air. Anyway it's something someone wants to hide, so worth checking out.
