A friend of mine is beside himself now that Sky have blocked access to this site. Internet censorship is on our shores.

Are there any other sites blocked by ISPs in the UK or is this the first??
Knock first as I might be balancing my chakras.

Demonoid seems safe for now, but I'm sure we'll keep moving on to other sites

There are lots. Mostly based on the IWF blocking lists (kiddy porn). Newzbin was blocked last year (or was it the year before) after a court case.

Thank god our legal overlords are protecting from the perils of Usenet. Let's hope nobody does something utterly devious like moving the site to another domain, such as http://www.newzbin2.es/.

I've been using Kat.ph but to be honest everytime I try and download something now my ISP restricts my broadband. If I leave something to download overnight, you can guarantee that I've got no broadband in the morning.
