Meaningless poll. Election is years away.

Yeah, but it's a tad harder to do unpopular things when popularity is already very low.

The next government probably won't get re-elected either.

No worries for the Torries. Come the election they'll just promise 'tax cuts', 'Curbs on immigration' and a vote on the EU, and they'll romp home with a majority

The 2010 election was never the one to win and as most people have no idea about economics, Labour were probably quite happy to lose and let the Conservatives try and sort out their mess.

If Labour had won, we would probably have been bailed out by the IMF by now as Balls spending plans would not be financed by the capital markets.

If Labour get in next time then we will see a repeat of the 1970's, Labour will well and truly f**k things up even more.

Labour are just dishonest, they have no plans for any cuts that are necessary to get up and running again, when are they and the British people going to realise that we cannot go on borrowing money that we expect our children to repay.

If I was Cameron and Osbourne, I would do what is necessary for the economy and forget the election, it is the best bet that they have to do the right thing and hope it comes good before the election, if the timing is wrong, at least they will have done the right thing.

We must get the conditions in place for business to expand in the coming years, this includes removing restrictive labour rules, simplify the tax system, cut red tape etc.

So the country would have been better off by getting bailout from IMF rather than contributing to bailouts in Europe?

Of course the UK would not be better off, I didn't say that. What I did say that IF Labour had won, the IMF would have been bailing us out by now, as they did in the 70's when Labour were bailed out by the IMF.

                    Why not?

UK would get bailout money and then have to implement proper cuts to make up for - it would be less likely for Labour to come back to power for some time after that.

I should have voted Labour in last election. Well local Labour MP won anyway
