What to do with a spare machine?

I have a spare quad core 8GB box. What shall I put on it?

While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Linux? Turn it into a webserver, NAS, Asterisk box, media server, run VM's on it...

I have that taken care of. Although perhaps I should get into call of duty or something. I mostly do FS X and Command and Conquer and that sort of stuff. What is a good running around blowing stuff up game?

Quad core would scream esxi if its compatible enough.

If all you need is an NIC you aren't doing badly I would need a whole sata 3 controller.

                  WCHS.

I'd look at turning it into a media server myself.

Well, it fails on the NIC at the moment, I suppose it might fail at the next hurdle after that.
