    Rooney hype

During the 2010 winter olympics, the canadian media didn't stop banging on about Sidney Crosby in the build up and during the games. Then he scored the winning goal in the gold medal game so made it justified. The level of commentary about Rooney is very similar. Will he do it?

I am not a fan of his but if you go by the stats he should be able to do it, played 47 games scored 37

That's club. For England. 28 out of 78. 3 goals in the last 3 years. So I'd say no. He's yet to live up to his 'hype'.

No one knows what he will do. He should play because of what he could do. He's been excellent this season and he has that ability to do something out of the ordinary that can win a tight game, like his goal against Man City.

Which goal against City - the over head kick ? top quality without a shadow of a doubt.

However why break up a "team" in order to cater for an individual ?

Also what team are you talking about here? The one that struggles to string together more than 2 passes?

Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson
