    England v Italy on Sunday

    So what do we reckon?

I've got a feeling in my water that England will win on penalties.

I know it goes against reason, England getting a draw in the first place would be a tad overachieving, but then winning a penalty shoot-out?

Could go either way. In spite of what the Spanish coach said, I wouldn't want to play England - you don't know what you're going to get

On the day or during the match!

Take Tuesday, crap for 20 minutes, superior for 40, crap again, pinged it around like Brazil for the last 10.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

A bit like English weather (constantly changing)... Perhaps that's where they get their inconsistency from?

I am sure England could play pretty well if they really set their minds on it. Gerard with Rooney and Welbeck/Carroll in front of him should have a chance against any team. And that's forgetting the pace of AOX and Walcott.

Fred can’t split them at 13/8. Fred goes 15/2 England to win on penalties.

          Hope Balotelli plays and some

Italy were impressive in spells vs. Ireland but they probably made them look good.

I’d say Italy may edge it but Woy seems to have instilled a bit of team spirit and has chosen the best captain as opposed to that *unt Terry.

          Come on England!

Quite. This team reminds me of those old-fashioned Italian and German teams of the 80s/90s that just ground out the results even when they played crap.

Can't stand Terry. Still don't understand why he gets in ahead of Ferdinand. Ferdinand should be at the Euros instead of Terry on a morals basis alone.

Ferdinand is/was the better player but lacked match fitness recently.

Ferdinand is bigger, stronger and faster than Terry as well. Though his goal line save was pretty good the other day...
