I dont understand it tbh. As a mostly IT forum Im sure the vast majority of us know how to change our IP so all that is ever banned is a username.

We are also the sort of people who could create a rival forum easily with no modding or restrictions on what you can post. (Wouldnt that be nice.)

So why try to punish people in a way that doesnt matter or stop them and may potentially elicit a response you really dont want.
