    Labour costs for new kitchen

Putting in a new kitchen in the BTL, so as to attract better tenants - my normal Polish crew have a big job on and I want to start the rent flowing asap.
So went with a local (Balham) fitter - he's quoted me £2850 labour for a complete strip out, retile, refloor, repaint, install of kitchen units - basically everything to get the kitchen mint.
Obviously I'd also have to buy the kitchen units, probably from B&Q or similar.
Is this a good price, does the panel think?
I have had cheaper quotes but this guy comes recommended?
    Hard Brexit now!

Howdens are good, as are Homebase and offer some good deals right now.

We put a Kitchen in, all units, washing machine and hob etc, for £3k from Homebase and it looked very good.

Depends on size of the kitchen, tiled area, etc obviously whether that's good or not.

Bit of a moronic post to be honest isn't it sassy?

I guess being a rich retired academic makes you a bit thick when it comes to these sorts of things.

Hmmm. It is London and to be fair the old kitchen needs complete gutting - its not just installing the new units but removing old tiling, etc etc.
                Still I guess you're right.

Doesn't seem so high, if you think that the new kitchen will cost say another £1000 maybe £2000 depending on what you get.

It could perhaps be slightly cheaper, but tilling can look very shabby if done on the cheap. Then again its a btl so wouldn't bother you quite so much i guess.

                    Its a mediumish kitchen.

Still I need to get this done so I can have some income flwoing in
