    some help please...........

A couple of contracts that I'm interested in, request sc clearance. I've read a few threads on here about it before.

Anyone know what steps I should to take to apply for it?

    ............

............I knew this was a bad idea...................

Apply for the job and find out!

You can only be put forward for clearance if your sponsored by your employers - i think, sure someone with more knowledge will put you right!

      Apply for the job.
The client will have a "sponsoring agent" who will put you through the process.

      You can't do it yourself.
I am not qualified to give the above advice!

What if I want to make sure that I can trust myself? I might have done something terrible and removed from my memory with time.

Not entirely true, as long as you can't be blackmailed by it it wont stop your clearance (a bit of a generalisation there).
