    Apollo Moon flags still standing?

BBC News - Apollo Moon flags still standing, images show

The only reason they are standing is because they set them back up in the film studio in Nevada.

Shirley proof that it wasn't faked has to be if they did it once why have they not done it again with Mars?!

Considering how much cash it must have cost to sent that orbiter up there, they could have strapped on a better camera ..... my 6 year old has a camera that can take better quality photos than that .... how high above the surface is it traveling?

Surely they could have come up with something better than a grainy photo ......

That's like comparing a walk to the shops with a polar expedition.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

No, it's like faking a walk to the shops with faking a polar expedition. Still doesn't prove anything.

There's nothing to knock it down unless it gets hit by a meteorite.

It's not as if it's got wind and rain up there...

According to the crew the Apollo 11 flag fell over as the LM left the Moon's surface.

That's why the flag in the picture is so far away from the lander. They knew to plant it farther away.

The moon-landing-were-fake nutcases are already knocking this photo back as a photo-shop edition.

They had a hard time getting the flag planted in the compacted lunar dust and it was barely standing anyway. Lunar orbiter photos have already picked out the tracks of the lunar rovers and landing stages.
