Conservative Britain has taken a pasting at the Olympics

    Mark Steel in the Independent:
    link

Paraphrasing here but his gist is basically that there should be 2 medal tables showing the number Britain has won and one showing the number Conservative Britain has won which, omitting cyclists, asylum seekers and people forced to move abroad to train because of the cuts, would show one for the dressage - which they're welcome to.

Since when has being a cyclist precluded someone from being a conservative?

Political parties should be selected on the number of Golds the Olympic teams will choose under their reign.

Mark Steel - is he that class warrior comedian with the half baked estuarine nasal whine? Didn't know he was still around.

We don't have to save the world. The world is big enough to look after itself. What we have to be concerned about is whether or not the world we live in will be capable of sustaining us in it.

Ah. It was a comedy article? Well it cannot be serious. Random ideas, badly written.

Maybe he is the atw of the media world?

he tried doing history, good job it wasn't an article on communism, Stalin would be portrayed as a very nice man.

completely biased, but occasionally insightful, a few pearls in the commie swine.
