    Assange nonsense

Protesters being arrested outside the Edcudorian embassay. The police are just doing their job as are the protestors, has the Goverment came out with statement yet, or is it still going through 10 layers of PR spin and checks.

I still can't decide whether he's a danger to national security or a hero?

    Funny looking though.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

I still can't decide why he won't go home to face trial.

Will the establishment frame him and put him away for national security reasons?

Or is he in fact a sex offender / rapist ?

Think it's to do with if he gets deported to Sweden, or wherever he is charged, he will then be deported to the US to face charges slightly more serious.

It is an oddity though, fair play to him for evading deportation so far, but what chance does he have of getting from the embassy to Ecuador without getting collared?

He is going to be holed up for a long time in the embassy. Almost like being in prison. Maybe he will join cuk?

Well if the police wanted him they can just go an take him, there is nothing to say they can't, its just good manners that the wishes of the head of the mission are respect by the host country.

if we set this standard though expect the same to be done in various other countries we have embassies in - think Moscow. Poor form to threaten and then do nothing.. but I think they have called our bluff by releasing the threat - as if they were going to buckle they would have done so quietly and made it seem as if they wanted to.
