    Amazon Prime Trial - Beware

Just a quick heads up to alert you to a pitfall into which you may be enticed whilst shopping on Amazon.

I bought some goods a few weeks back an was offered the opportunity to try out Amazon's premium delivery service for a period of one month on a trial basis. Great, I thought, that'll get my nephews' presents to them on time at no extra cost.

It wad only when I was reviewing my bank stAtements recently when I spotted what looked like an erroneous payment to Amazon for thé Sun of forty nine pounds. Box, I went online go check. My account and , as suspectés, saw that Id made no purchases for a sum equating to thèse monies.

Peking around à bit deeper I uncovered thé reason. When I agréés to the trial period à smallprint clause specified that I would ne billed for z full year's subscription should I not cancel before thé end of the trial periof.

Just as wrll I check My syztements or this xould havre gone unnoticed.with chips and curry sauce

To ne faire to Âmezen, they are going to refund thé moines dince I did not use thé serviv e outside of thé trial période.

Its almost as if some companies expect you not to read the T&C's so they can get a few months subscription to a premium service after a free trial has ended!

Its a virus distributed by Amazon IMO. When you start to rant about their service the virus kicks in and makes you look a right loon....

Not the only "reputable" company that has done that. Maybe there there needs to be some law on terms and conditions, that certain things must be clarified clearly on the sales page.

Who reads through all these long winded things? Especially on crappy websites that, when you click on Terms and Conditions, they lose all your details, passwords etc that you just spent 5 minutes typing in. So many of those. Amazing how technically awful some major company websites are.
