Recommend some Jerky

I like beef jerky having had some in the USA, but most of the ones I've tried have a weird flavour I'm not keen on. I'm not sure if it's a preservative or flavouring but can anyone recommend good brands for tasty, simple jerky?

If we can get some real answers amongst the inevitable filth such a title invites, all the better.

Can't remember the brand, but CostCo sell some nice Jerky, and is on offer this month.

You do need a membership card etc.. but hey that's my 2p worth.

On the Salmon jerky topic, a colleague came back from a business trip to Japan, with some...........sugar coated dried gold fish!!!! Eeewwwwweee!!!!

There's a great South African shop that make there own near where I live - it's fantastic. I get the chilli-garlic one.

I agree about the shop stuff - it tastes like Brillo's codpiece just after his mighty effort in the Iron Man.
