    It's been 60 hours

Since I last had an alcholic drink and I feel tulip. Really tulip. My heart rate is up, I've got headaches, feel sick. It's the longest period I've gone in the last 3 years without having a wee drink.

Inspired partly by BP & also realising I was drinking too much each night which was beginning to affect my health I thought I'd take this latest trip to the US to detox. Hit the gym on arriving. Then went for a run & now feeling uber ill.

Anyone got any suggestions to take the edge off?

      You drink wee?
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Maybe you are dehydrated, drink some water.

I find it takes 3 days to get it right out of the system, you'll feel great tomorrow.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

Seriously, if you don't regularly exercise have a medical first and ease yourself into it.

I know one bloke who gave up very heavy boozing by having a spliff in the evening instead. He also got into exercise heavily at the same time- boxing training with an ex-boxer.

Indoor climbing is fun and a bit of a buzz.

You could try a weak Valium for a few days if you are a serious boozer. That'll take the edge off , but they are addictive if you pelt them down for weeks on end. Get them from your doctor and tell him why.

I thought this thread was going to be about songs written by Prince and recorded by Sinead O'Connor.
