    God I'm bored

8 weeks to go, all specs written, all sprints planned, everything written up. My days are spent telling stakeholders to bog off (requirements freeze was months ago), wiping developers noses and reporting on progress.

Everything is ticking along nicely. I planned it this way. Now I'm bored. Is is possible to plan too well, and plan yourself out of a gig?

In reality this is probably the holy grail of contracting. Turn up, work thy nuts off for a few months bailing the project out of the tulipe, then sit back and watch for the remaining time as all your ducks are neatly stacked in rows.

    Anyone else have this?
Knock first as I might be balancing my chakras.

You should do it the other way round, less chance of early termination then as there is still work to be done

I thought that. Then again, doing a good job and coming in under budget is good for the reputation, no?

Yes but we don't feel compelled to tell everyone else

Only if you are likely to engage with the client in the future or ensure that is stressed or your co's. promotional literature (sometimes referred as a CV).

                  Still bored?
