Is blocking access to external mail against free speech

Clientco seems to have blocked Gmail, Hotmail etc. Very annoying because it stops me running my business, i.e. returning emails from agents and so on. Would this be against free speech?

You'll have to sue. Employ a hooman rites lawyer immediately.

I do that at any employer or clientco where I manage the server / infrastructure, and its expressly forbidden in my IT policy.

No, but you can get a laptop and mobile internet, or you could reasonably claim you need to make gmail accounts for testing purposes if you're working on anything like CRM or web based apps.

Its their network, probably their hardware, time they are paying for and their rules.

get a smart phone or ipad with mobile data and use that. Its what any sensible person would do.

Mind you based on past threads you're neither sensible or vaguely clueful so as nelson says

No, it's against arrogant contractors doing work other than what the client pays them to do.

Get a smartphone FFS and act like the professional you say you are.
