Felt like absolute death today with the latest lurgi the kid has brought home from school. Stuck it out all day in the office though. We'll probably see a few less of the permies tomorrow. Have stocked the laptop bag up with drugs ready for tomorrow. I'll no doubt feel like tulip but the show must go on.

Go in and infect the permies. That will show em.

Snap, feel like a big lump of tulip, lucky I don't smell like one :-) Started yesterday with coughing which progressed until everytime I coughed it felt like my ribs were going to explode along with a ton of yellow/green slime. Night was hot-cold-hot-cold and a lot of burping everytime I moved and the mother of all headaches. I was too worried to fart in case I tulip the bed! I think a few of the permies here have the same as quite a few have been coughing and sneezing this week...
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

To me this is the great advantage to being a contractor, we dont have to put health second to pleasing some boss or showing determination.

Its the permies who HAVE to come in and spread their diseases around, which is utterly stupid. If one guy gets something and stays at home till he is better, chances are no one else gets it. So instead he comes in to be a martyr and more and more people get it, losing more productivity than if he just stayed at home in the first place.

          Arent people stupid.

What _are_ you talking about? Contractors don't take days off sick surely, and lose money, unless they're actually receiving the last rites or clinically dead.

I haven't had a day off sick in 15 years. It's permy weaklings who whimp out at the first hint of the sniffles, because they know they'll still be paid!

                  WOHS

I came in after a bad bike accident, with my knee and shoulder in a soft cast, kept it on for a week, although client did say I could work from home after the first day in.

I'd have to be pretty bloody sick, and I mean losing limb sick, to not come in.

Keep calm, and carry on billing.
