    Sorry to mention food if you're dieting; but if so, perhaps this may be some consolation.

    Not really a paradox they have tried to work out that theory before particularly with diabetes.

    They have been researching:
    1. Birth weight - they think low birth rate is a indicator for diabetes in later life
    2. Mother's diet when pregnant with you - if your mother was deprived of nutrients when pregnant with you then you are more apparently more likely to suffer with diabetes, heart disease etc.
    3. Where your body fat is stored briefly mentioned in the article.
    4. Diet during childhood.
    5. Maternal Grandmother's diet

    However they won't fully research corn syrup or fructose.
