    Does anyone have any idea what hourly or daily rate a decent Altiris Administrator should be getting out of a contract?

    ... waits to be ridiculed by the App Packagers that have had anything to do with this product.

      Does anyone have an idea who would win in a fight between a lion and a shark. Assuming the lion could swim.

            No there isn't that much around . It's growing though. Altiris offered me an account manager permie position for 40k. I wasn't too keen on the whole kissing some clients ass aspect. I'm not even that keen on Altiris as whole. I wouldn't risk my reputation recommending it to a client.

                I took that approach with Microsoft. Seems to have done wonders to my reputation!

                  But do we also assume that the Shark can run on dry land ?

                  Aha , now I think that topic was covered in the book The Story of Pi and the winner was ..no I will not spoil the book for you.

                  They sought it with thimbles, they sought it with care;
                  They pursued it with forks and hope;
                  They threatened its life with a railway-share;
                  They charmed it with smiles and soap.

                  In the midst of the word he was trying to say,
                  In the midst of his laughter and glee,
                  He had softly and suddenly vanished away---

                    I asked the Altiris Contractor & he reckons £350 upwards a day is the ballpark

                    *Note he is Australian so presumably one should adjust upwards for one of Gods own
