Chickened out. Heating finally switched on.

Though the forecast is good for the next few days, I wanted to check that the heating here works.

Some hassle getting the heating fired up.

But nothing in comparison with old oil fired system my parents had that needed bleeding.

Happy to report it is now working.

'tis casting off funny smells at the mo' but that is normal for the first fire up of the season.

Where's that autumnal colour icon when you need one?

    Have you bled the radiators?

Not putting mine on until the temp gets below 7°C. Just to protect the wallpaper!

          Not yet.

Do you think I should ask Mary Poppins for advice on the subject?

                Heating on?

I reckon there is still 6 weeks worth of cycling to work in shorts. Stuff the heating.

                  WBPS.

I still cycle in shorts and sleeveless shirt until temp drops to 6/7°C.

I think it got down to 9 inside my home office before I gave in last year, or maybe was the year before. I was seriously debating getting gloves for typing but luckily had a plug-in heater (didn't want to heat the whole house).
