So allowing the EU to crush democracy in Europe wins them the peace prize?

Why not just give it to Africa?

Before the EU there was some wealth in Europe worth fighting for. Now it's an economic wasteland no warrior would waste any time over.

Or in other words yes the EU has prevented wars in Europe. But only by causing the same level of harm to it as would be suffered by each side if they lost..
