That is probably in line with Market Rates for an entry level Service Desk role.

I suspect that the role isn't targetting experienced / seasoned contractors.
If your company is the best place to work in, for a mere £500 p/d, you can advertise here.

I'd like to nominate this one here:
        "You MUST have experience with:
        ...

Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 design and development, although they are looking to move to SQL Server 2010."

I love it when they mention technologies that don't exist. Particularly when the nomenclature of such non-existent technologies suggests that if it did exist it would have been invented two years ago, and yet they're only just planning to move to it.

Isn't the rate under the minimum wage for those over 21?

They should just admit they want a kid to do it.

It's effectively a junior admin role - £60 a day seems reasonable for a school leaver.

                  From the ad:-

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are looking to gain experience in the financial sector and would suit recent graduates

Three years at Uni and then £60 a day? Might as well now.

Ah, missed that. Not sure why they'd need a graduate from the job spec.
