When did the Tory logo become a tree drawn by a child?

I was idly looking at the polling reports, and was surprised to find i didnt recognise the Conservative logo.

When did this happen? What on earth is that supposed to represent?

When did the Tories ever use a rose? I thought a red rose was the other lot, and it was a torch the Conservatives used a while back:

Around the same time their manifesto did?
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'
