    Could have happened. Did you know that at age 73 Frank Sinatra was offered Bruce Willis's John McClane role in the original Die Hard (1988)? Something to do with first refusal rights based on a differently-named part he played in The Detective in 1968 (which the John McClane character was based upon). Nobody expected him to take the role, of course, but by the wording of his contract he had to be offered it first anyway: now that, my friend, is a true contractor!

      he did a number of tough guy roles, if he had been the right age he would have done it very well.

      Clint is still doing tough roles, I liked Gran Torino.
