Anyone know where to subscribe for personal credit check events notifications ?

Anyone know where to subscribe for personal credit check events notifications ?

I'm looking for something that gives you current credit rating and gives you e-mail alerts and CR changes if there is a credit event recorded against you. Something that could possibly check Equifax, Experian etc.

It would be good if it doesn't leave a record of when you are looking at your own credit rating on the fore-mentioned Credit Ratings agencies, as I've been told that if you inspect your own credit rating too many times this could in itself lower your Credit Rating.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Take a look at the Experian website, they probably have something like what you're looking for.

I get told by Experian when anyone performs a credit check on me (for ID fraud purposes).

Most do them, I know Equifax ent me alerts when things changed, can't remember how much it was but it wasn't a lot.

I use https://www.checkmyfile.com/ which is cheaper than Equifax and aggregates the big three's data plus more

you can use CallCredit http://www.noddle.co.uk which is free. You will just be shown adverts/sent emails about products they think you might be interested in.

I have seen noodle mentioned a few times but I have never found anyone who has managed to sign up to it

Yep, I receive email alerts from Experian. However it does not give details of the new info, just that your credit has been affected.
If UKIP are the answer, then it must have been a very stupid question.

This is a myth - I'm suprised so many people are taken in by it.

Your own searches are recorded for your own viewing - potential lenders cannot see them.

Too many applications for credit is what lowers your credit worthiness, it makes you look desperate.
