    2 weeks of bench time and I've just landed a role at Barcap at canary wharf for the next 12 months

    Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

    I preferred version 1!

              They have also said that they want to give me exposure to SQL server and C#. They are happy that my skills in the first are limited and non existant in the second.

                    that's a bit easy going of them for a contract. usually they put you through a barrage of tests to prove that you at least have a good understanding of the skills you are meant to use at barcap.
