    Garden fire roulette....

Got a load of greenery to burn.

Chucked in a burner bin, probably too much for a good start.

Put around 1/4 gallon of petrol on the top, lit a newspaper and threw on the top.

    The thing is smouldering very s l o o o o o o o l y.

Cat in the garden, I hope it does not blow up like a bomb.

Thought of chucking water on it, and using the tip instead of burning, but I am scared if I get too close it will explode.

Wish the smouldering would turn into a nice blazing fire.

Living the dream of the weekend gardener!

Sounds like most of the petrol burned first, and just a small vapour remnant detonated.

Otherwise you wouldn't have been around to post that, seriously.

Lighting petrol in enclosed spaces, such as a burner or even a garage, is insanely dangerous. That's what paraffin is for.
