    The pointlessness of banning

Because one could register a sockie , why impose a ban?

    It is meaningless, surely?

    Banning raises two thoughts

One. The banner is naive. It won't change the system

Two. Banning is acceptable in this system. That is a problem. That is censorship. We are not shouting at each others grand mothers here.

Completely wrong. I have totally changed my ways after being continually banned. I have learned by lesson & well be bowing down to my masters from now on. Oh lordy lordy!

Zakly. It's not a ban, it's a "time out"... But even that is utterly pointless because you could be back on here in minutes.

People really value their identities on here. That is why banning works. Those people need to get a grip , this is not reality , people are not honest here

Most people don't have sockies so for them a ban works as intended. However the ones who get banned over and over typically aren't 'most people', so I agree.

When the revolution comes Nick will add hidden links that randomly bans MF when some finds and clicks one of them.

To be honest I think he might have implemented it a while back but I've never bothered to check with him.

After a week away I would have thought you could have come up with a new (less crap) insult.
