    What is meant by an "agnostic CRM system".

    Just come across it in some literature and have no idea what it means.

    It means it's aware of the concept of customers but isn't sure if you have any.

      Tried Google?
      https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=agnostic+crm

      Erm, this thread is number one for it - in four minutes, think that is a record

      So with that in mind what you are reading must be a bag o' tulipe. Or could it be to do with being platform (OS) agnostic? Not tied down to having to be run on *nix / MS / whatever?

        <sensible head on>
        What is it supposed to be agnostic about?
        Channel - i.e. customer experience is the same regardless of how they interact with the system
        Technology - i.e. works with oracle or SQL Server
        ..... - i.e. doesn't mind whatever .... is
        </sensible head on>

        Answer - marketing wank

            You might have something there.

            I have come across at least one CMS and several themes that were heavily into promoting some church or other.

            Platform agnostic seems most appropriate for a CRM.

                No, it's a CRM system that isn't sure about the existence of God either way.

                  It means when it goes live you cannot pray that it is going to work. Have to use some other certified method to get it through the final gate such as crossing fingers or kissing a rabbits foot.
