    Careful on eBay

Had a purchase not turn up. Seller dodging my emails until I threatened to escalate, then starts making excuses and says he will ship that day (this was last Monday, which would then have made it 2 weeks late).

I had enough this evening and tried to report it to eBay. They say they can't process it as I used a PayPal guest account and I have to take it up with PayPal. PayPal won't take it up without a transaction Id and I can't provide one as I used a guest account.

    So I'm shafted.

    Just passing on. Careful.

    Really?

PayPal normally provides a transactionID as standard. When you paid the email you received should have it.

Normal process is to place the EBay transaction into dispute first. Not sure what you mean my guest account though.

Failing it all, tell your credit card company to dispute the charge.

When you pay via PayPal, you can log in, or just enter card details. I did the latter. Debit card

I bought a couple of things off Ebay a couple of weeks ago, in seperate transactions using Paypal.

The transaction still hasn't appeared on my credit card bill.

Going on a spending spree soon

Regardless of how you paid using Paypal your credit or debit card company won't be liable simply because you put a middleman - Paypal- in the middle of the transaction. Therefore you have to reclaim the money using Paypal.

Why didn't you set up a proper Paypal account? It's not difficult.
