    Christmas driving me potty

Wide awake at 3am this morning thinking about all the jobs I've got to do.

Stuck it out til 5am then thought feck it, got up and went to Asda to do that last minute shopping thing. Thought 'I'll be the only dickhead in here'.

    Packed to the gunwales!

And saw loads of people I knew shuffling round in their slippers (well it is luton) grumbling and grousing about "bloody Christmas" and "be glad when it's all over"

Back home and just sauteing my chicken livers in red wine ready for the pate.

    Anyone else going Christmas loopy?

Nah. Arrived at holiday cottage last night. Tesco ordered turned up at 9, sipping wine by 10.

Just got to pop out now to M&S to pick up the full Pre ordered turkey, trimmings, pâtés and puddings.

Mrs BP does her present shopping from January to October. She pays delivery charges to Ocado so gets prime Christmas slots. I have to take the kids out to get them out of the way - will take them to the hedge fund office so they can unleash hell.

A very merry Christmas to all and ignore scrooge.....

Tesco were supposed to deliver last night and couldn't because of an error

So now we wait with baited breath to see if I have to go back out to Asda should the revised delivery slot of between 9am and 10am this morning is missed as well

Our Tesco delivery arrived with half the stuff missing. Local shops filled most of the gaps, but I'm still missing my 'pigs in blankets'

House is a tip - I can barely find my dining room. I don't mind Christmas day, but I do find the whole pre-Christmas shopping and stuff overwhelming.

Ah well, better get on with it...

            Have a good one

Ignoring the whole thing as usual.

But I do need to go brave Tescos this morning, which I know will be jammed full of people stocking up like a nuclear winter is coming, even though they open again at 9am on Boxing Day.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

now why the feck have I never thought of that?

The mrs comes from a holiday part of the country and we spend a lot of time cottaging down there, lovely place but exceedingly limited shopping opportunities - can't believe this never occurred to me. Is the word 'Cretin'?
