I was staying up there during the big quake of '08. That woke me up. For a second or two.

AtW spilt his coffee on his sofa and its ruined. About £2.50 worth of damage in total.

I did feel and hear the tremor (now confirmed at MAG 2.9, 5 miles northof my location)

I awake at 05:15 so I was perfectly placed to hear it - I was in the kitchen at the time making coffee.

No. My fault entirely. I was "letting the dobermans out" and cracked the porcelain. :D

Could have been worse, if I'd had the prawn vindaloo and reshmi kebab it could have been a 6 or 7. :D

There was reports of an earthquake after a Madness gig in Findsbury Park. Apparently the crowd were all jumping in sync which caused nearby tower blocks to shake.
