This should be in technical but...

I do my job 100% in a command line interface. So it's unix / linux but...

Anybody else still use the old green text on black background terminal to get the job done?

Can't be arsed with a poll.
    Me, me, me...

I work on the system i, (iSeries or even AS400 to you old folk).

There's some new-fangled IDE which is quite shiny, but it's mostly green screen for actually making things work.

I will if I want to stop something bad happening but, sadly, not often I do miss it.

I get away with the basics

          ps -ef | grep ***
          kill -9 ***
          ./pleaseStartFFS.sh
          vi log.log
          /error

          "server has started up OK"

Really I do not know that much about unix.

Sadly no, but I enjoy typing "iisreset" and "msconfig" in CMD DOS.

              That's enough, I'd say.

Terminal FTW! Not green text though, that's soooo 90's. I'm on ANSI colours now.

Maybe going OT a bit, but has anyone used vim with tabs. It rocks.

Essentially yes, but I prefer white/light grey on black, or black on white. The old reflection one of white on a dark green background was easy on the eye as well.

I did go through a two tone blue phase but I grew out of it.

Edit: I use vim for windows every day as well. It's pretty much the first thing I install on a client co system if I'm forced to use one.

While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'
