Got a letter from former clientCo - haven't worked with them for 18 months. (I was direct)

Request for Information - supplier accounts.

Asks me to provide prints of any outstanding items, including invoices etc. for accounts in the name of ClientCo.

Is this usual? Or have they lost track of who they owe what? How much can I fleece them for?

Sounds like they got an upcoming audit of some sort

Ah, mebbe. Guess I should tick the 'nil' box and return it.

Have you considered getting in touch to ask what it's about?

Put £20k and send it back. They may be in Administration so worth a punt that the auditors pay you something.

That did cross my mind.

Can I charge an administration fee for the RFI?

And interest for non payment.

And interest for non payment.

Probably better with a payment for non interest.

Is it Serco by chance?

Just respond saying that as far as you are concerned all invoices have been paid and their account is up to date.

I reckon mudskipper is about to get an IR35 investigation.

A team of crack investigators are lubing up as we speak.

Nope, not Serco. Will tick the 'nil' box and return it.

IR35? Never heard of it - what's that about then?

If co was in administration, letter would come from administrators. I had a similar case a few years back (thankfully I had already been paid).
