The good and the bad of house price history sites

Viewed a nice house, nice people just a few doors away. Looking up online I see the asking price is exactly what it sold for 6 years back. I also see it previously sold for quite a lot more. And looking at the street, most places have come down a lot since new.

So on the one hand it's good data to drive a hard bargain with. On the other, I will know exactly how much they're going to lose out.

Never thought of it like that before, probably because it's people we walk past all the time it seems more personal.
