    Ghost hunting TV shows

Been watching some of these types of shows online both home grown and from the US. Not much happens but they jump at the slightest noise which is either amusing or irritating depending on the level of screaming.

Now my house is about three hundred years old with two to three feet thick stone walls and lots of wood as well as standard central heating. The noises during the night can be loud enough to wake me and all due to changes in temperature, even antique wooden furniture I have in my bedroom creaks and can make loud bangs, the floorboards upstairs in the living room as well as the wooden spiral staircase can make noises like footsteps.

I wonder what these ghost hunters would make of it all if they visited. How noisy is your house, does it freak you or your visitors?

My house was built in 1972 and has no history that I know of. We used to get a lot of noises like a small chld crying out which probably could have had various natural explanations. Then one day me and my own kid were sitting on the stairs looking at the goldfish tank and an infant's voice starting babbling right in front of us, we both heard it and it went on for about half a minute. I could think of no possible natural explanation for that at all.

We specifically bought this house as it was near a church. Almost on the first day strange stuff started to occur. Firstly there were knocks on the door. We decided to ignore them at first but after a while they became louder and louder, so we hid upstairs. Then the sound of the letterbox going and a haunting 'hellooooo, hellooooo we can see you'

tulip us up to be honest. One time I came downstairs after hearing the knocking and saw an evil old face peering through the window. I shouted 'be gone Satan' and did the sign of the cross. The distorted face at the window starting to gestulate it was very scary. This happened quite a lot the
first few days and eventually we had to leave the house. A day later on return we saw the Vicar in the church opposite. He just kept staring at us as we came in, eventually making some rude gestures at us. He obviously knows the house is haunted as well.

The obvious natural explanation is that you've got a ventriloquist goldfish, no?
